Choosing God

They’ve been through Children’s Church, they know the Bible stories, they’ve heard of Jesus and they know what He says; but at Youth, we want to lead your children to start digging deeper.

Youth is a ministry for secondary school-aged children, from 11-17, and our main aim is to bring our students from intake, where they are generally Christians because their parents are, to adulthood, where they will have had to have chosen God for themselves. We want to help them navigate difficult issues that may arise in and out of school - this may be peer pressure to conform, issues on social media, or facing evolutionary and pro LGTBQ+ ideology – we will be there to address the hard questions, all the while showing how God’s way is best.

We split the group up into three age categories, so that we can deliver sessions and deal with these sensitive issues in ways that are age-appropriate.

The youth join the main congregation for worship each Sunday, before leaving the service for their separate teaching. We also hold interactive Youth nights once a month with a focus on fun and fellowship, as well as going on a summer ‘camp’ each year.
